The annual scholarship awarded to a student from the Architectural Technology program at Cégep de Saint-Laurent this year recognized Paul-Éric Sombo for his final project titled “HÉRITAGE” (HERITAGE), where structure and architecture meet in an exemplary manner.
The award was presented by Félix-Antoine Dufour, a former graduate of the program and now a P.Eng.
In his message of thanks, Paul-Éric mentioned that this recognition represents for him “tremendous encouragement to pursue my ambitions of becoming a structural engineer. It motivates me to deepen my knowledge, to push the boundaries of technical creativity, and to work on projects where architecture and structure dialogue in harmony.”
His strong interest in civil engineering also led to a visit to the office to gain a more concrete understanding of the practice environment.
Over the years, several graduates from Cégep de Saint-Laurent have found with us fertile ground for the development of their careers. Some, like Félix-Antoine Dufour and Corinne Revel, have pursued studies in structural engineering, while others, like Mégan Miron and Mathilde Bruniquel, are currently beginning their engineering path at Polytechnique Montréal.
Congratulations to Paul-Éric Sombo for this distinction!
