It is with great pleasure that our firm was honored twice last Monday at the 21st Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) – Québec Awards of Excellence Gala.

A first prize was awarded for the Soprema manufacturing facility project in Woodstock, Ontario, in the category “Buildings – Outside Québec”. We would like to thank our client Soprema as well as Lemay and Pomerleau!

Our vice-president Félix Bédard was the winner of the Young Engineer / Architect of the Year Award for the transfer structure of the Humaniti Complex hotel. We thank this time our client Cogir as well as Lemay, EBC and Quirion Metal. Note that Félix won this award for the first time in 2011 with a sponsor, but that for 2019, this prize was awarded to him personally, without any mentors.

Finally, we are delighted that the Grand Théâtre de Québec project won an award in the “Buildings – Renovations” category. We offer our congratulations to the team of Grand Théâtre de Québec, Lemay, WSP and Pomerleau. Our contribution to the project was to work with the WSP team to establish the tolerances of the steel structure in relation with the connections of the new glass envelope we designed.
