Our associate architect Martin Houle was selected by his Alma Mater, the University of Montréal, to share his experience as a mentee and mentor as part of their new mentoring program.

“Mentoring for me is the art of coaching and valuing, while being transparent. The bond of trust is crucial, and that’s why there must be a certain level of connection from the first meetings. If this connection does not exist on one side or the other, you have to be able to admit it, because ultimately a mentoring relationship is like any relationship, whether personal or business: the quality of the relationship will dictate the short, medium and long term benefits on both sides. “
