We’re thrilled to introduce you to our latest “recruits” : Kahina Sad-Saoud, Kevin Jeswani and Joy Valentin Iragena (see their fun facts below).
This is also an opportunity for us to officially announce that we’re open for business in the GTA area, as we’ll be based on the 4th floor of 60 Adelaide East!
Kahina is currently a Candidate to the Engineering Profession (CEP). She completed a doctoral program in the field of Mechanics and Civil Engineering at Mines Douai (France) and received a Ph. D. degree from Université de Lille I (France). From September 2016 to December 2020, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering of Université de Sherbrooke. Her main research activities are centered on the numerical modeling of the structural behavior of steel lattice transmission towers.

Kevin recently completed his MASc at the UToronto with a thesis on the seismic resilience of critical spatially-distributed building portfolios in Manila, Philippines (his home), in cooperation with the Earthquakes & Megacities Initiative. He hopes to apply this keen interest in infrastructure resilience and his fascination of data science in boosting ELEMA’s R&D projects.
Fun facts : In his spare time, he uses tools like Muay Thai and running to sharpen his resolve in helping societies create sustainable cities of the future.
Valentin is a Candidate to the Engineering Profession (CEP). He completed his college degree in Civil Engineering at Cégep André-Laurendeau in 2016. He pursued with a bachelor’s degree at Université de Sherbrooke also in Civil Engineering. He obtained his degree in December 2020. Valentin is a familiar face at ELEMA as he did an internship with the company from September to December 2019.
Fun facts : His favorite food are ribs. His favorite movie is Man on fire.
