The Reference Manual of the Association des architectes en pratique privée du Québec (AAPPQ) is a tradition in Québec’s architectural community where a selection of 25 projects among member firms and the announcement of an honorary member are highlighted in this publication with 2000 copies. Our firm is therefore very proud to be able to partner with the AAPPQ for a second consecutive year.

Of note, the Grand Théâtre de Québec on which we worked with Lemay and Atelier 21, in addition to being chosen in the manual, won a “Coup de coeur 2021” from the selection committee.

This year’s cover page highlights the work of ADHOC architectes in the design of their iconic installation “Your place at the table” located in the Quartier des spectacles.

The title of honorary member 2021 is awarded to the historian, ethnologist, writer and screenwriter Michel Lessard. He notably wrote “L’Encyclopédie des antiquités du Québec”, followed by “L’Encyclopédie de la maison québécoise” and “La Maison Traditionnelle au Québec”, which are still considered today as reference documents in built heritage  circles. Note that our partner Martin Houle was also named honorary member in 2015.
