ELEMA is proud to sponsor and support the Polytechnique Montréal team in the prestigious Canadian National Concrete Canoe Competition. Organized by the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, this competition has been a cornerstone event for 29 years. The 2025 edition will be held from May 21 to 24 at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.
In preparation for the event, we had the pleasure of hosting three team members: Alexia Macoveiciuc, Jonathan Bordeleau, and Mika Lachapelle. During their visit, they shared insights into the competition’s framework, the challenges they have faced, and the valuable knowledge they have gained from the design and construction phases, including the rigorous training required, even in winter conditions. Notably, our colleague Mégan Miron is also part of this dedicated team.
We’re wishing the best luck to the Polytechnique Montréal team as they embark on this exciting pan-Canadian university competition. Their hard work and dedication are truly inspiring, and we look forward to seeing their innovative concrete canoe in action.
