This morning, the traditional “President’s Breakfast” where Dominic takes the trouble to make pancakes and waffles for the entire team gave way to a new tradition, the “Partner’s Brunch” where everyone is busy providing a portion of the meal. Since we’ve more than doubled in size since COVID, let’s say that Dominic needed help this year! Special mentions to Félix’s four quiches as well as Patrick’s two homemade wraps and muffins, each having dedicated themselves to late-night culinary activities yesterday!
Second, we gave everyone ELEMA branded hoodies and tuques. In a perspective of sustainable development and local economy, these pieces of clothing are made of organic cotton and recycled polyester, in addition to being made in Canada.
Finally, the logo embroidered on the hoodies represents the following elements:
- The 2014 for our founding year
- 2016 marking the year of passing of our dear co-founder David Rokas who lost his fight against cancer (as well as our colleague Martin Weilbrenner a few years later)
- The ribbon symbol highlighting the fight of some ELEMA members who have overcome this disease (Martin Houle, Mohamed Kandouli and Anthony Sicuranza)
- The abbreviations of the different cities where we’ve established ourselves today!
David Optyker (Calgary office) and Vivien Mollard (Quebec office) are present in the photo.
Missing are our Toronto team (Finny Joy, Karanpal Singh, Ketan Kulkarni, Kevin Jeswani), Mathieu Thériault from Quebec as well as Brayan Hernandez, Anthony Sicuranza, Mégan Miron, Thomas Labrie, Chi-Hoang Tran, Guillaume Leclerc, Mohamed Kandouli, Tarik Assif, Eskender Abliezov and Viktoriia Abliezov).
